Duroliponte

On its Cambridge page, Wikipedia describes Duroliponte as "a small fort ... on Castle Hill, just northwest of the city centre around the location of the earlier British village." If the British village had a name, it doesn't seem to have been recorded.

Wikipedia also has a Duroliponte page, where it describes it as "a small town ".

Either way, it would seem to be something of an over–simplification to say that Duroliponte was the Roman name for the city of Cambridge.
